If you want to save one day, you’d better take downstream cruise from Chongqing to Yichang, and you will see five-stage Three Gorges Dam ship lock at late night around 23:00 and the whole process lasts for about 4 hours. If you don’t want to wait too late to see the ship lock, you could choose upstream cruise which usually begins at 17:00.
