Sampling Itinerary Day by Day

Day 1 Guilin Arrival

Ni Hao! Welcome to Guilin, the city with the most beautiful landscape under the earth! You will be met by local tour guide at airport / train station, then be escorted to your hotels in Guilin downtown.

Arrival Ideas: Guilin Liangjiang Airport has flights connecting Guilin with Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Lijiang, Kunming and more cities. Also, Guilin Railway Station or Guilin North Railway Station has high speed trains well linking Guilin with Guangzhou (about 2.5~3hrs), Shenzhen (about 3hrs), Hong Kong (about 3~4hrs), Guiyang (about 2.5hrs), Changsha (about 3hrs and 20mins), Wuhan (about 5hrs), Kunming (about 7.5hrs), and Shanghai (about 9.5hrs), etc.

If you arrive in Guilin early and have some free time, here are some suggestions for you to enjoy:
1. Visit the Iconic Elephant Trunk Hill: This hill is the symbol of Guilin’s landscape. It looks like a giant elephant drinking water from the river. It’s a must-see! If you have more time, you can explore the historical sites nearby, such as ancient stone carvings, Buddhist temples, and relic exhibitions. These places are full of stories from the past.
2. Explore the Reed Flute Cave: This is a magical underground world. The cave is filled with colorful lights that highlight the amazing rock formations. These formations, like stalactites and stalagmites, took millions of years to form. It’s like stepping into a hidden palace created by Mother Nature.
3. Discover the Sun and Moon Twin Towers: These towers are a modern wonder in Guilin. The Sun Tower is made of copper and shines brightly during the day, while the Moon Tower is made of steel and looks beautiful at night when it’s lit up. They are surrounded by a beautiful lake and garden, making it a perfect place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery.
If you need us to arrange your itinerary for the day, please communicate with your travel consultant in advance. We are here to make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible!

The breathtaking vistas resemble an endless Chinese scroll, featuring winding river, verdant limestone karst mountains, fascinating countryside views, the amazing A Painting of Nine Horses, and iconic scenery on the 20 RMB note. (Please note: Lunch onboard is served by the cruise with simple local cuisine. You can take some snacks before boarding.)

After 4 hours’ cruise, arrive in Yangshuo and check into your hotel. After a short break, immerse yourself in the charming sightseeing and ideal countryside ease of Yulong River. Let all the refreshing scenes delight your eyes and souls to the utmost, the Karst hills dotted around, chattering stream, rippling mountain reflections, swaying flora, patches of vivid crops, gentle breeze... Choose from biking, hiking, bamboo rafting, scooter or riding to explore the fun and beauty there. (Please tell your likes to your travel consultants before booking the tour, as final prices will vary by activity.)

Biking (some physically demanding & view by the river) - Ride to enjoy the river view and the real fields (route: Yangshuo - Jima - Shuiedi Dock - Gongnong Bridge - West Street; for 1.5-2 hours).

Bamboo Rafting (relaxing and interesting & view on the river) - Have fun with the classic bamboo rafting (Route A: Shuiedi Dock - Gongnong Bridge for 40-50 minutes; Route B: Jima Dock - Gongnong Bridge for 1.5 hours) to see the more serene view like pieces of traditional Chinese landscape ink paintings.

Driving (most leisurable and comfortable & view on the road) - Sit leisurely on the car and travel from Jima to Gongnong Bridge to appreciate the lovely countryside view (about 0.5 hour). You can get off and on anywhere on the middle way to explore more about your interested place.

Finally, have a leisure walk on West Street where the western and Chinese culture coexist harmoniously here. Whether you want to enjoy a drink in a bar, taste local food, or just soak in the relaxing atmosphere, you get it there.

Note: according to the regulations of Yulong River Tourism, children less than 1 meter high and elders over 70 years old are not allowed to take the bamboo rafting.

Hi Leo,

We had a great time on the river cruise. Everything went to plan and the accommodations were great. We really enjoyed the excursions that had been organized and were really impressed with the show on day 2. The crew on the ship were really great as well and always willing to help even though there were only a few English speakers on board. The meals were also excellent. I also want to thank you for helping us organize the trip, Leo!

Hi Wonder,

Everything with Alan, the tours, and the itinerary planning was awesome. Our overall travels to China were great and memorable, and the part of the trip you facilitated was the easiest part of the trip because you took care of all the details for us.

I would highly recommend you and your company. Your response time always exceeded my expectations, and the tour offerings were wonderful. As much as we are typically independent travelers, having a guide for both Tianmen and Zhangjiajie National Forest was a much better use of our limited time since those areas are so large, so booking through you was a wise choice.

Feel free to add to your list of satisfied customers and show that publicly if you like. I'm happy to add more, if there is a certain format that you prefer.

Thanks again!

Chris
