What Our Customers Say?
I wasn't thrilled about spending 3 days of my time in China on a riverboat, but was I ever wrong! Took the Yangzi Explorer and would highly recommend it! Rooms were immaculate, staff was very helpful and friendly. Most spoke good English, and those that didn't made up for it with great smiles and finding you someone who could speak. Wait staff in the elegant dining room were some of the fondest memories I have of the trip - these folks went the extra mile. The gorges are fascinating - even in the rain or overcast. The descent thru the locks at the dam is an experience. Great activities onboard (the evening shows are put on by the staff and crew of the ship, not actors - but you'd never know if you weren't told!), interesting lectures (I'm not much for lectures, but these were all really interesting!), and yes, even some very nice yet reasonable shops on the ship. The tours that were part of this trips were fun and quite eye-opening! Even the "trip-scrooge" (there's one on every tour) complimented the staff and crew!

We sailed on the Yangtze Explorer, though one of the smaller it is one of the most highly recommended ships on the Yangtze. It was very good, we knew it wouldn't be mainstream sea cruise standard; nonetheless, the staff, food, entertainment, excursions were all very good.

Are there any formal events ? What\'s the dress code for dinner and watching shows ?
Thanks for your questions. It is great to take a cruise sailing on Yangtze River in late April for the pleasant weather. Wish you have a nice vacation on Yangtze Explorer.
Travelers will enjoy Captain’s Welcome Party and Farewell Party can attend evening shows performed by the crew onboard, join in different kinds of cultural activities such as Traditional Chinese Culture Lectures, Chinese Tea Appreciation and Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy and more.
Usually dressing code for captain\'s welcome, farewell party and shows is not very formal. Such as, suite, tie, evening dress, etc. are not strictly required. You can dress as comfortable as possible to enjoy your cruise tour, but too casual clothes like jeans, round-neck shirts, shorts, slipperier, and so forth are better to avoid.
