Day 1 Chongqing - Mount Jinfo - Chongqing (L)
On this day, your guide and driver will pick you up at hotel, airport or train station. Then, you’ll be driven to Mount Jinfo, about 105 kilometers from Chongqing downtown which needs 2 hours.
Mount Jinfo was listed as a part of “South China Karst”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the diversity of karst features and landscape. With the highest altitude of 2238 meters, Mount Jinfo is reputed as “Museum of Natural Plants”, enjoying forest coverage of 95%. When sunshine falls on the mountain, it looks like a giant Buddha shinning with boundless golden radiance, hence Mount Jinfo is literally called “Golden Buddha Mountain”.
You’ll explore from the Western Slope to the Northern Slope. Along the way, wander through 3.5-kilometer secluded Azure Stream Valley; take the 15-minute cableway up to the mountain for a panoramic view of the majestic mountain; explore the vivid Golden Turtle Facing Sun Platform, Jinfo Cave, Azalea King Tree; challenge yourself by walking through Steep Cliff Plank Road; get into the Ancient Buddha Cave with about 500 Arhat Buddha which is also the best location to appreciate sea of clouds…moreover, stone forest, waterfalls, valleys, rare and endangered plants and animal species are surrounded you everywhere. After the tour, drive back to Chongqing downtown.
Please Note: (a) Instead of walking, you can take sightseeing bus to save energy in the scenic area. (b) In spring, you can enjoy azalea flowers in blossom and in winter, you can enjoy different kinds of skiing in Qianniuping Ski Resort.
Day 2 Chongqing & Chongqing Departure (B, L)
Good morning! After breakfast, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to visit the Three Gorges Museum, showcasing more than 280,000 pieces of precious cultural relics to introduce the great Yangtze River, formation of the Three Gorges, and the thriving history of Chongqing from 3,000 years ago to its status as a municipality in China. Next, have an impressive look at the People’s Assembly Hall which is renowned for its elegant classical exterior and was listed into the History of Architecture compiled in London in 1987.
Then, take Line 2 of Chongqing Rail Transit from Huanghuayuan Station to Liziba Station for 15-minute with cityscapes. Get off and watch a train passing through a 19-storey apartment, unique to mountainous Chongqing! Continue to enjoy Chongqing panorama from "Eye in the Clouds" Observation Deck (altitude: 520m) with a 360° open-air platform at the city center. Then, visit the must-see Hongya Cave to appreciate its layers of featured Ba and Shu regional wooden tilted houses rising up to 11 storeys against the hill. (Note: As night falls, Hongya Cave becomes even more enchanting with warm lights illuminating the structures. If you want to see such night view, please discuss with your guide or travel consultant to adjust the itinerary.)
After the tour, be transferred to the airport, train station or cruise port for your departure from Chongqing!

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to formally express my sincere appreciation and commendation for the outstanding service provided by Ms. Vivien Li during our recent travel arrangements.
Throughout the entire process, Ms. Vivien Li demonstrated exceptional professionalism, efficiency, and dedication to her work. Her responses were consistently prompt and attentive, even during her holiday leave, when she still took the initiative to reply to our emails and ensure that our concerns were addressed without delay. Such commitment reflects a remarkable sense of responsibility and customer care that is truly commendable.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen health issues, we were compelled to cancel our fully paid trip. During what was already a stressful period for us, Ms. Vivien Li went beyond her normal duties to assist in handling the cancellation and refund process. Her extra effort and close follow-up enabled the refund arrangement to be completed within just a few days after cancellation, which we greatly appreciated.
Her willingness to go the extra mile, combined with her patience, efficiency, and genuine concern for customers, turned a difficult situation into one that was handled smoothly and reassuringly. In today's service industry, such dedication is invaluable and deserves formal recognition.
Please convey our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Vivien Li for her exemplary service. She has represented your organization with distinction, and her professionalism has left us with a very positive impression of your company.
Yours faithfully,
Elsa

Title: Outstanding Service – Vivien Li Went Above and Beyond in Every Way!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Vivien Li from Chengdu Bamboo International Tours (also known as China Discovery Tours). She provided one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had while helping me book my Yangtze River cruise.
From the very beginning, Vivien was incredibly professional—diligent, responsive, patient, and resourceful. I had many questions during the planning process, and she took the time to answer every single one thoroughly and thoughtfully. She also sent helpful reminders about meeting times and locations, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. On top of that, she even reached out with holiday greetings, which added such a thoughtful and personal touch.
What truly sets Vivien apart, however, is how she handled an unexpected issue that had nothing to do with her. When I arrived at Chongqing International Airport, my luggage did not arrive with me. I was told it might be delivered the next day—the same day my cruise was scheduled to depart—but there were no guarantees. I felt completely stuck and unsure of what to do.
I reached out to Vivien just to ask about timing in case my luggage was delayed, and she immediately stepped in to help. She stayed in constant communication, provided clear next steps, and even explained contingency plans—such as arranging to have my luggage shipped to the next port if needed.
But what truly amazed me was that Vivien didn’t stop there. She went above and beyond by helping track down my luggage and coordinating its delivery—something even the airport baggage staff couldn’t clearly resolve. Thanks to her persistence and dedication, I was reunited with my luggage in time for my cruise.
This level of care and ownership is incredibly rare.
Vivien Li is truly exceptional, and her company should be very proud to have her on their team. If every travel representative operated with her level of professionalism and genuine care, the travel experience would be so much better for everyone.
I am extremely grateful for everything she did, and I highly recommend requesting Vivien Li when booking with Chengdu Bamboo International Tours or China Discovery Tours. I will absolutely book through her again for future trips to China.
She is simply amazing!
