We came back from the first China Focus 29 days tour last week, did the 3 nights Chongqing to Yichang cruise on President VI. Our group was offered to upgrade from the 3rd deck to the 5th deck for USD $60 per cabin. Both decks had balcony cabins but people whom didn't upgrade, complained about Chinese tourists smoking inside the cabin and hallways on the lower deck. We actually upgraded to the Presidential Suite for USD $400. The cabin size is 3 times of the normal cabin, have the full frontal view, longer balcony and free in suite Internet access. It can observe the ship going through 4 locks without smelling all the diesel fumes.

The ship itself is OK, don't expect it to be the usual Western cruise ship. Food was only good and a bottle of water is 10 RMB. We had perfect weather, very pretty scenery.
