Yichang Port – Yangtze River Cruise

Yichang port, also known as the Ninth Wharf, is one of the eight important ports on Yangtze River. There are 6 wharfs scattered around the port for transporting goods as well as passengers.

How to get there?

1. From Yichang Center

It is very convenient to get to the port by city buses from the city center. Buses No. 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 28, and 29 can take you there.
The public buses are an important part of Yichang people's daily life, and the buses fare is for 1RMB and 2RMB with air-condition.

2. From Railway Station

Yichang Railway Station is a little bit distance from the public bus stops, so, you have to take a taxi from the Railway Station to the public bus stops.
Or, you just take a taxi to Yichang Port from the Railway Station, which may cost 10RMB.

3. From the Yichang Sanxia Airport

There are airport shuttle buses to Sanxia Hotel, and after arriving at Sanxia Hotel, you just need to take a taxi there to Yichang Port, costing about 6RMB.

4. By Ferry

Starting from Yichang, travelers can sail up to Chongqing and down to Shanghai along the Yangtze River. It takes only 12 hours to travel from Yichang to Chongqing by ferry. The ferry leaves the port once a day with a fare around 300-400 RMB according to seat class. In addition, there are regular ships directly to Badong, Wanzhou, Fengjie and several other places around. So, if you do not want to take the whole Yangtze River cruise, you can also appreciate the beautiful sceneries along China Yangtze River and the Three Gorges.
