Zhongxian County – Yangtze River Cruise

Zhongxian is famous for its world's top architectural building – Shibaozhai (Precious Stone Fortress), which has attracted large number of tourists from home and abroad.

Near the center of Chongqing and the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservor Area, there is a county named Zhongxian that borders Wanxian County in the northeast and Fengdu County in the southwest. Zhong means Loyalty in Chinese.

Numerous tourists have visited this sport and marveled at the unique architecture style of Shibaozhai.

Besides, the fabled island Huanghuacheng Site allows visitors to admire village from the Qing Dynasty and ancient tombs from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Zhongba Site which was recently discovered in Zhongxian contains the living "Twenty-Four Histories", a collection of Chinese historical books covering Chinese history from 2550 BC to the Ming Dynasty in 1664.

Because of the Three Gorges Dam, two thirds of the territory of Zhongxian will be submerged. Some of people have moved to the new county of Zhongxian, and more local residents will move out from Old County.
