Location & Geography of Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen is situated in the north-east of Jiangxi Province of China and neighbors Anhui. The city center area is located in the north-east of the Poyang Lake Plain.
Located on the eastern bank of the Yangtze River and situated in the transitional area between the Huaiyu Mountains and the Poyang Lake, Jingdezhen has a population of 1.49 million with covering an area of 5,248 square kilometers.

Climate of Jingdezhen
Jingdezhen has mild climate with the weather humid all year round. There are clear four seasons: unpredictable spring; hot summer; mild fall; short but cold winter. It is rich in rainfall. Generally, north wind blows in winter. When the spring turns into summer, the rainy season come, drizzling down for a long while. While during the summer and autumn, The annual mean temperature is 18˚C (64.4˚F) and the mean temperature of summer is around 30˚C (86˚F). So, it's quite suitable for you to go to Jingdezhen in fall.

How to get there?
1. By Train
The WanGan Railway (Anhui - Jiangxi) connects Jingdezhen to many key cities in China such as Shanghai, Nanjing, Jinan, Qingdao, Hefei, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Nanchang, Kunming and Guiyang, etc.
The Jingdezhen Railway Station is located in the city center.
2. By Plain
Jingdezhen Airport is located at Luojian Village, northwest of Jingdezhen City, about 8 kilometers from the city downtown. It is the second largest airport after Nanchang Airport in Jiangxi Province.
There are flights from Jingdezhen to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzou and Shenzhen, no international flights.
Getting around
Jingdezhen public buses and taxis are the two main means of transportation within the city. Nearly more than 20 public bus lines crisscross the city and its countryside. Taxis in Jingdezhen are plentiful with fares starting at 5RMB for the first 2 kilometers.
What to see in Jingdezhen?
1. Ceramic History Museum
Ceramic History Museum, located in the western suburb of Jingdezhen City, a professional ceramic museum built in 1980 with an area of 83 hectares, has a rich collection of over 5,000 articles. The items on display include ceramics from past dynasties, historical information about ceramics, precious collections of paintings and calligraphies, among which many are of excellent quality.
2. Jingdezhen Old Street
Jingdezhen Old Street is located on the west bank of the Yangtze River, in the center of Jingdezhen. It is a famous street in China, renowned for its long history and beautiful traditions that come from its ancient culture. The street is composed of three parts, each of which fully reflects its prosperous past and its important position as a transportation center: Ming Street, Qing Street and the Old Pier.
